岡山 天満屋での染織布展、2日目です。
今日は、2点の新作を展示致しました。
まずは1点目をご紹介します。
緯糸に絹手紡ぎ真綿の糸と天蚕のきびそ糸、そしてアタカス蚕の糸を織りこんだ絹からみ織り布です。
強い糸だったり、ふしがある糸だったりといろいろな個性のある緯糸だったので、織るのが大変な一枚でした。
天蚕の糸の強さで何度も経糸が切れてしまいました。それもスパッと何十本も切られてしまうので、そんなにも鋭利なのかと驚嘆でした。
そんな個性をまとめて、モダンでシックな布に織りあげました。
お着物にも似合いそうな一枚になりました。

We are holding our exhibition at Okayama Tenmaya.Today we exhibited two new art works.

This is a silk leno weaving cloth that is woven with hand-spun floss silk threads, wild silkworm threads “Tensan”, and Atakas silkworm threads in the weft.

It was a difficult piece to weave because the weft threads had a variety of characteristics, such as strong yarns and yarns with knots.

Combining these characteristics, I have created a modern and chic cloth.
